The Winter Mother’s Tapers serve to honour the Winter Mother in all of her aspects, for protecting in the cold of Winter, to bless the home, to draw abundance and prosperity, to avert illness and evil, to curse another’s land, or to ruin their home life.
Our Tapers are dipped in pure, Canadian beeswax blessed by prayer and smoke before being dressed in Powder of the Winter Mother’s Basket and fixed with Oil of the Winter Mother.
These candles may be burned before icons of the Winter Mother or any and all Winter Goddesses. They may be carried around the perimeter of the home to protect its inhabitants against illness and strife. They may be used within spellwork to conjure prosperity and wealth in the home and in business. They may also be lit as a focus of meditation leading into dreamwork, or burned as an offering to the household spirits.
