Oil of the Shears
The Fates spin and weave and cut the very thread of the life of men. They are birth, life, and death; they are generation, separation, and what comes between; they are wistful past, joyful present, and dreaded future. This is an oil of the Inescapable, of the third sister of Fate, Atropos -- she who wields the Shears. According to her will comes the end of our time, swift and unexpected.
As witches, we pluck the thread of Fate as Clotho, weave it as Lachesis, and cut it as Atropos. From our stomach emerges the six hands of the Moirae to modify the Weave through sorceries and witchcrafts, and that is the power this oil seeks to provide. With it we arm ourselves with the Shears of Atropos, and cut the thread of Fate where it is appropriate, dissolving arrangements, disarming situations, separating those entangled in one another, undoing spellwork woven by others, and bringing an end to that which is no longer needed. This is an oil of cutting the cord, whether it was spun by Clotho or by another practitioner of magic.
Use this oil within the context of ritual to bring separation and endings, whether it be between yourself and another, or to a string of events -- for better or worst. In this way, it can be used to bring an end to spellwork cast by yourself or another before it has run its course; it can be used to separate two lovers, or friends, or family members; it can be used to bring a series of events to a premature end; or, it can be used by those of cunning mind to bring about the end and destruction of that which is most loved by another. Remember, however, that Fate has its ways, and that the Weavers weave with purpose and reason; to alter the Weave is to accept the consequences and repercussions of our actions.
Lemongrass, Hellebore root, Sulfur, Madder root, Alkanet root, Pomegranate seed oil, shards of Obsidian.
Due to the Sulfur and Hellebore contained within this oil, I do not recommend anointing the body with it; it should be handled with care and kept away from any and all wounds.
1oz dropper bottle. Sold as curio only.
This oil may also be purchased as part of our Moirae collection set.
