Oil of the Prick-Eye
"Fair Dame I have been struck,
By one whose name escapes my memory.
With your thorn in hand I send this evil to die upon a stake,
To be devoured by the great Serpent;
With your guiding hand I twist its neck and leave it to rot.
[...]"
An oil of the Hawthorn, to remove, reverse, and protect against the Evil Eye. A veritable pact with the Fair Dame of the Thorn, to destroy envy and prick the Eye of the envious, returning their spite tenfold.
Hawthorn wood, leaves, berries, and thorns were ritually harvested at dawn, trading gifts of drink and food in exchange for the protection of the Faerie-Thorn. With this unguent we shroud ourselves in the thorny cloak of the Dame, protecting against the spiteful, jealous gaze of enemies and friends alike. With the sweet perfume of this balm we call to us the children of the Thorn, to prick and prod at the Eye which afflicts us; with it we return the evil sent our way, carried by the wrath of the Whitethorn.
Use this oil in all workings of protection against the Evil Eye; anoint the body following a cleansing bath; wear daily to avert the gaze of the envious; potentiate charms and talismans with it; feed it to your spirits to enhance their protective abilities; anoint poppets of the perpetrator before crucifying them upon the Whitethorn.
Hawthorn leaves, wood, thorns, and berries; Frankincense, Dragon's Blood, Lemon rind; each bottle containing three thorns of Whitethorn and a Nazar bead.
30ml bottle. Sold as curio only.
