Lachesis' Incense of Allotment
The Fates spin and weave and cut the very thread of the life of men. They are birth, life, and death; they are generation, separation, and what comes between; they are wistful past, joyful present, and dreaded future. This is an incense of the second sister of Fate, Lachesis -- she who allots destiny and marks the path we walk, choosing our hurt and blessings.
As witches, we pluck the thread of Fate as Clotho, weave it as Lachesis, and cut it as Atropos. From our stomach emerges the six hands of the Moirae to modify the Weave through sorceries and witchcrafts, and that is the power this fume seeks to provide. With it we take in hand the Meter of Lachesis, and peer into the Weave to divine past, present, and future; to learn of prophecies, blessings, and curses woven with the thread of our Fates. By its smoke, we fix the current of Fate, or twist its path. This is an incense of fixing the Loom, of wielding the Meter, for the sake of peering into the tapestry which Lachesis has woven.
Burn this incense during all acts of divination, or to consecrate tools of divination such as cards, dice, bones, or otherwise. Burn also as an offering to honor the Moirae and thank them for a joyful unfolding of Fate. When a particularly benefic reading appears, use this smoke to fix its result into the Weave, so that what it foretells is bound to happen regardless of any changing factors; in the case of a negative reading presaging doom and strife, burn this incense while reciting invocations to Lachesis and Atropos to change the course of Fate. Use it as a dust when dressing candles in all spellwork using tools of divination, such as playing or tarot cards, as well as for the dressing of candles within the context of Geomantic magic. This dust can be used to draw Geomantic sigils or figures within the frame of ritual to evoke the properties of said figures for the sake of spellwork.
Cardamom, Red Sandalwood, Juniper berries, Linden tree, Amanita Muscaria, Frankincense, Copal, local Honey, Rye Whiskey.
Due to the Amanita Muscaria contained in this powder incense, its smoke does have a psychoactive effect which should be taken into consideration when burning it; only burn in small quantities in a space free of pets and children.
1oz jar. Sold as curio only.
This incense may also be purchased as part of our Moirae collection set.
