Hekate's Deipnon Tapers
The Deipnon is Hekate’s mensual feast, celebrated upon the night of the Dark Moon. Offerings are made to the Goddess of Magic and of Crossroads, so that she may distribute them with errant spirits and the Restless Dead. This serves to build rapport with the Goddess and with her retinue of spirits, but also to increase blessings and protect against hauntings and evil spirits.
These taper candles are hand-dipped of pure, Canadian beeswax blessed by prayer and fumigation, and dressed in herbs and dirts pleasing to the Goddess of magic. They serve as an offering in and of themselves, with their sweet honeyed scent pleasing Hekate and her spirits. The herbal allies used here serve both as ghost-corn, feeding the spirits, as well as to make the manifestation of the Goddess and her spirits more tangible for any spellwork following Deipnon celebrations.
Anoint with Hekate Attuning Oil or Crossroads Oil, and burn while pronouncing prayers to Hekate before laying out any offerings. Burn also as the centerpiece of any and all spellwork calling upon Hekate, as an offering made in exchange for the fulfilment of your petition.
Dandelion, Ceylon Cinnamon, Crossroads Dirt, Mullein, Indian Bay Leaf, and more.
Sold in bundles of two tapers. Sold as curio only.
