Hekate Altar Bottles
All hail mightiest Hekate, Titaness Goddess; Twice-Transcendent Angel of God!
In the Skies, Earth, and Sea I praise your name!
These one-of-a-kind altar bottles contain the might and will of Hekate and her spirits combined. Veritable batteries of power, they each contain a mixture of 20+ herbs, animal curios, minerals, dirts, oils, and tinctures meant to encapsulate and direct the power of the goddess.
On a night of a dark Moon, these antique medicine and poison bottles were suffumigated with Mastic and Myrrh, and filled with allies of the witch’s craft such as Usnea, Black Cat’s hair, Aconite blossoms, Hellebore root, Saltpetre, Elderberry, Abre Camino, and a range of other spirits to lend their strength to your work. Each bottle was fed with oils of Hekate and Lunar tinctures before being stopped and coated in blessed black beeswax. Through the intercession of the goddess, these bottles were filled with the power lying within the belly of the Land Serpent. As black candles burned atop them, Hekate placed a small portion of her being within, that these bottles may serve as a direct point of access to Hekatean mysteries and powers.
Our Hekate altar bottles feature a particularly Necromantic bend, containing dirt from multiple cemeteries, Patchouli, Bonewood, Spruce and Pine resins, and a variety of other allies associated with the practice of Necromancy. This makes them an incredibly helpful tool in conjuring the shades of the Dead, whether ancestral, restless, or Silvered.
Leave one on your altar to empower your spellwork or obtain counsel from Hekate and her retinue of Hounds, Dead, and Monsters. Place petitions to Hekate or her spirits beneath it to bring them to manifestation. Burn candles atop it during spellwork. Dress it with charms and talismans of the goddess to further enhance its power. Carry it with you as a protective charm, or as a travel altar containing all the powers of the goddess. Bring it to the cemetery and use it as a rattle for summoning the Dead. Hang it above the bed to communicate with Hekatean spirits in sleep. Use it as a personal energetic battery, to bolster all spellwork. Bring it to the crossroads and present it to the spirits there to open all roads, and to carry the power of Hekate with you in all your dealings with the Devil.
Each Hekate altar bottle comes with a short document containing incantations, charms, and practical information for its use and feeding.
Hekate altar bottles have been updated as of March 2024 to be made of foraged terracotta clay to better suit their purpose.
Sold as curio only.
