Hekate Brimo is the wrathful one standing at the meeting of three roads. Serpent, Wolf, and Owl at once, she commands hordes of unshapen Dead. She bares the Witch’s herbs in hand, blade in the other, and from her cries are born countless monsters.

We call upon Hekate Brimo for protection, and in particular the kind which will bring retribution to the assailant. We call upon Hekate Brimo also for protection, so that she may devour and transmute our ills into blessings. We call upon Hekate Brimo to learn of poisons and remedies, as well as of necromancies of the darkest kinds. Brimo’s crackling whip punishes the traitor, fortifies the practitioner, and subdues the ill-spirit. Her blade slices through defenses, and erects impenetrable barriers. With a hiss she tears down the doors of Tartarus, and with a screech she seals them again. With a howl she summons the spirits of the Earth, the unshapen Dead, and the Night Hags roaming about, that they may be put to work.

Each Hekate Brimo Altar Piece was fashioned from my hands, and bares a sigil given to me by the goddess in a ritual of shapeshifting performed at the beginning of my relationship with the goddess. This sigil is encrusted into the body of the vessel using local clay, collected from a source from which my own ancestors collected their clay over a hundred years ago. Each is raw and unglazed, stark white and fit to take on the shades and colors of the various offerings and anointings made to the vessel. The lid floats upon its mouth, and serves as both cup and candle-holder, to be removed as the vessel is opened and the goddess “let out”. Although she cannot be contained within such a vessel, a piece of the goddess is present in each, and this is the link we call upon to draw the goddess into our space.

The Hekate Brimo Altar Piece is unassuming, ranging from 6 to 7 inches tall, and is perfect to set upon a shrine or altar to the goddess, or to keep in a window for the sake of protection.

Each Altar Piece comes with its set of instructions, much like its sister, the Hekate Altar Bottle. This document contains further information on Hekate Brimo, as well as recipes, rituals, and spells calling upon her with the Altar Piece for the sake of protection, revenge, and cleansing.

Sold as curio only.
