Little red bags upon a Rider’s course. — Fixed Star Aldebaran

This is the last of the three spells which were taught to me during a meeting with Aldebaran. It is for the protection of a home, the claiming of a plot, or the general solidity of a building.

When the Moon is in this Mansion, sow your seeds, wear new clothes. Wed not. Buy prisoners. Begin to build, for it shall be durable. Buy tame beasts. Enter into no ship for to travel the sea, for you shall have tempests of waves. Take no new fellowship. If you be taken, you shall have long captivity. Build, dig conduits. Buy servants and beasts. Go before what lord you have business with. Beware of weddings.
— Ashmole 396

When Aldebaran rises, or when the 11th degree of Gemini crosses the ascendant or midheaven, and the Moon is waxing, set a small table as instructed in the popcorn spell, without the small dish of popping corn.

Instead, sew (or buy!) as many red bags as you have rooms, and mark them with the sigil of Aldebaran. This is a large 'X' with small circles at each extremity, as shown on the Pouch. Write out small lists of each household member's name, with the name of your home (this can be 'the Smith home' or 'Briarpatch Estate', whatever you're feeling) written above it. Place these lists inside each bag.

Fill these bags about halfway with dirt collected from each corner of your property. If you live in an apartment, use soil from each house plant or from the corner of your building's property. Add as many thistle heads as there are people in your home and a small ruby or carbuncle to the bag.

Note: you should be able to get tumbled ruby stones for relatively cheap, and a carbuncle is any translucent red stone, but typically a garnet.

Breathe into each bag as you tie it shut, and anoint it with a small dab of oil. Recite the Prayer to Aldebaran included in our product instructions, or the Hymn to Astron. Fumigate the bags with a mixture of myrrh and storax (or benzoin) and place in each room of the house, hidden from sight. If the Pouch is employed, touch each bag to it before hiding them. Feed the Pouch each Tuesday in thanks to Aldebaran for maintaining his protections.
